Day 01   Destination – Paro 

Flight to Bhutan is one of the most spectacular in entire Himalayas. Whether flying along the Himalayan range from Kathmandu or over the foothills from Kolkatta, each flight is a mesmerizing aeronautical feat and offers an exciting descent into the Kingdom.

On arrival at Paro airport, you will be received by our representative and transfer to the hotel.

Visit to Ta Dzong (National Museum) and then walk down the trail to visit Rinpung Dzong which has a long and fascinating history.

Visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest and most sacred shrines of the Kingdom. 

Evening take a stroll around town’s main street. Overnight at the hotel in Paro.

Day 02  Paro Sightseeing – Thimphu Drive – 1 hr

After an early breakfast hike up to the Taktsang monastery (Tiger’s nest). The climb up to the view point will take around three hours. Enjoy the stunning view of the monastery, where Guru Padmasambava landed on the back of a tiger in the 8th century, and mediated for three months. The monastery was later built in this holy place in 1684. 

After lunch in the café walk back to the road point. 

Drive to Thimphu, the capital od Bhutan. Check into Hotel. Free time to relax. 

Day 03 Sightseeing in Thimphu

After breakfast, visit the National Library, stocked with ancient Buddhist manuscripts, and the Painting School where traditional art is still kept alive through instructions in the art of painting Thangkas (sacred Buddhist religious scrolls). Next you visit Traditional Medicine Institute where medicines are prepared according to ancient practices. Visit Handicraft Emporium for shopping Bhutanese Various Arts and Textiles. Then you visit Bhutanese traditional paper making factory.

Drive to see the Buddha Dordenma Statue (54 metres, 177 Ft) at Kuensel Phordang. The Great Buddha Dordenma is sited amidst the ruins of Kuensel Phodrang, the palace of the thirteenth Desi Sherab Wangchuk.  

After lunch you will hike to Tango Monastery. The trail Tango is a climb of 280 meters and it takes an hour to reach the monastery. Stay overnight at hotel in Thimphu.

Day 04 Thimphu – Punakha. Drive = 3 hr

After an early breakfast, you drive to Punakha via Dochula Pass, where you can see 108 Bhutanese Stupas. If the weather is clear you can see all Himalayan Ranges with all snow covered. Further drive to Punakha and visit Punakha Dzong. You have to walk through the suspension bridge to reach the Dzong. Punakha is still the winter residence of Je-Khenpo. 

In the evening you take a short hike to Chimi Lhakhang, built by Lama Drukpa Kuenley in 15th century. Stay overnight at hotel in Punakha.

Day 05 Punakha – Gangtay Drive = 3 hr

After an early breakfast, drive to Gangtey valley. Visit Gangtey Gompa monastery. Explore Phobjikha valley, which is famous for the black necked cranes during winter. These cranes are very rare and endangered and highly protected by the Government. En route you will stop in different places for the photography and have the view of different valleys. 

Afternoon: Gela Village Hike

This hike is an enjoyable hike that you can easily do on your own. Follow the dirt road rightwards to the chorten and up the hill. Turn left on the dirt road leading above Gela village rather than continuing up towards the Goemba. Walk leisurely through the village. Follow the same way back down. 

Overnight at a Lodge in Gangtay. 

Day 06 Gangtay  – Paro Drive = 6 hr

After breakfast, you drive back to Paro. On the way visit Simtokha Dzong. It is the oldest Dzong in Bhutan.Check into Hotel. 

 Free time to relax.  Stay overnight at hotel in Paro.

Day 07 Paro – Destintion

Your guide will escort you for your onward journey.
